Where we came from

how we do business with the customer in mind

Mk2 Business Solutions was founded by Matthew Chitty in early 2000 under the name Psyc3D Animation & Design. The company at this point was only one person working on odd 3D animation contracts. Psyc3D slowly expanded into web design work taking on small web contracts to help build a portfolio. In 2005 Josh McCreight (Advanced Programming) joined Matthew and formed Mk2 Business Solutions with the intent to offer affordable high quality CMS website's to local business. In 2007 we grew the business to the level of requiring office space at the Vancouver Island Technology Park.

Today Mk2 Business Solutions is a leading multimedia & web development firm capable of taking on the largest of development projects. We have never forgotten our roots and the clients that got us here. There is no project too large or too small for us! We pride ourselves on integrity and customer service offering a unprecedented level of service in the multimedia industry. We are devoted to "changing the face of multimedia" and the way we do business in this industry. The success of our clients business ensures the success of our own, through this philosophy we are able to provide the service needed to ensure client satisfaction. We work on Quad core Intel systems using Adobe Master Collection CS3 software and predominantly in the Windows Vista environment, but are capable of working on files from any OS including Mac and Linux.

Green Initiatives

Mk2 Business Solutions is committed to doing it's part to support sustainable living. Many of our clients and projects are either environmentally friendly companies and or green initiatives by reducing carbon footprint's. We do all of our invoicing through electronic means to save paper, we use energy star LCD monitors and actively work to reduce our carbon foot print while conducting business. We don't use large amounts of print media to promote our company, the bulk of our advertising is through word of mouth, referrals, and internet marketing programs."

Matthew Chitty

Matthew graduated Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario where he majored in Sales & Marketing in the Business Administration Program. In 1997 after moving to B.C. with his wife to be Matthew entered into a successful career in the sales industry. Matthew continued to grow in his career as a manager at Future Shop and grow as a husband and father of two amazing little girls. His career was highlighted with awards and recognition for people management and sales/profit performance. Matthew took on multimedia contracts beginning in 2000 using skills learned while receiving his Diploma of Digital Multimedia (Honors) at Computer Master in Victoria B.C. Psyc3d provided services to the film and video industry and include credits in "Killer Bees", "Ultimate Party Quest" and other smaller independent productions.

In order to exploit his talents for business management and strong eye for design and layout, Matthew chose to improve the success rate of small business startups. MK2 was founded in order to help others develop/implement their own business ideas while setting them up for success. After managing $10 Million per year plus sales departments at Future Shop Matthew has a solid understanding of what is needed to make a business successful.

Josh Mccreight

Josh has been programming for over 10 years, starting out with programming for windows 3.1 and DOS. As well, Josh has had over 5 years experience in programming with PHP/My SQL. To broaden the scope of programming capabilities, Josh is currently enrolled in a Masters program to obtain a degree in Computing Science to enable a greater range of services to clients.
